The game of poker is a fast-paced card game where players place bets into the pot and whoever has the best hand wins. It is a gambling game, so you must be sure to keep records and pay taxes on your winnings.<\/p>\n
To begin a hand, each player must ante a set amount of money (the minimum antes in our games is a dime). Then each player receives two cards and places bets into the pot. Players can call, raise, or fold when betting comes around to them.<\/p>\n
When betting intervals end, all remaining players show their hands face up on the table and the highest hand takes the pot. Some games use more than one pack of cards, and some have special wild cards that can take the rank of any card (or cards) in a hand.<\/p>\n
A full house contains three matching cards of the same rank, and a straight contains 5 consecutive cards of the same suit. A flush contains five cards of the same suit that skip around in rank. And a pair is made up of two matching cards of the same rank, and three other unmatched cards.
