U.S. Drops Bombs Near North Korea Border

In an attempt to show strength aimed at North Korea the US has dropped a bomb in the Korean border region. This mock-military attack being seen as a reaction to the actions of North Korea in more recent times.

As you may know just a few days before all of this North Korea launches a missile over the Japanese island of Hokkaido, while the missile landed in the sea. Pyongyang has become increasingly aggressive towards the US as well as South Korea by making threats to launch a missile attack in Guam. Guam for those who do not know is where the US has it’s Pacific military base. The mock-attack as mentioned above included a bombing drill across the Korean Demilitarised Zone. In this B-1 bombers actually flew over the Korean Peninsula.

General Terrence O’Shaughnessy of the Pacific Air Force told CNN:

“North Korea’s actions are a threat to our allies, partners, and homeland, and their destabilizing actions will be met accordingly.”

As tensions rise anything could happen, just last Tuesday South Korea dropped eight large bombs on the border to show military strength. According to South Korea all eight MK-84 bombs kit targets at a testing ground on their homeland. How exactly North Korea will react to all of this. I for one am terrified for what may be to come. Why is it we all have so much trouble getting along?

North Korea has been test-firing missiles rapidly this year and with each launch, experts fear Kim’s military can further perfect its technology. These bomber flights have become a common response to North Korean actions, but the dropping of bombs is definitely an escalation. This drill came only after President Trump said that words would not be able to resolve the Korean conflict. What do you think about all of this?
