Student’s Faucet Design Saves Water By Swirling It Into Beautiful Patterns

More faucets like this! Amazing!

Award winning product designer, Simin Qiu, from the Royal College of Art, has developed an innovative faucet that
produces a beautiful spiraling stream of water whilst conserving more than 15% of the water that would be used by regular faucet designs.

The way it works is two turbines inside the faucet head spin while the water flows through them, which in turn produces the beautiful spiraling effect.

The water also comes out smoother, but faster, and responds in .3 seconds as opposed to .7 seconds of a traditional faucet.

This design embodies beauty, zen and environmentally consciousness.

The faucet is powered by a simple push button on top, and has three different pattern settings.

Which is your favorite?
