Bizarre “remains” of what could be the mythical creature were discovered by a dog walker on a beach near to Loch Ness this morning.
The amazing photos have sent monster fans into meltdown on social media as many paid “tribute” to the legendary beast.
“Has Nessy been found? Or someone playing a fascinating prank?”
But unsurprisingly not everyone was convinced – with some insisting the fishy find is in fact “a bunch of ribs and white puddings”.
And one person joked: “Maybe Nessie doesn’t want to leave the UK either and has just gave up pmsl”.
The “corpse” was revealed by animal charity Help2Rehome Scotland who posted on Facebook: “Has Nessy been found? Or someone playing a fascinating prank?”
They later admitted the it was just a bit of fun for a TV show: “Hopefully the producers will pick the food they used as back up and make Nessy a breakie for tomorrow!”
Mystery STILL not solved then.
