Breatharian Couple Claim They Live A ‘Food Free’ Lifestyle And Survive Off ‘Cosmic Nourishment’

While periods of fasting could even prove to be beneficial, it would seem that living entirely without food would lead to death. However, one couple claims that they have learned to survive almost entirely without physical nourishment because they don’t need it.

Camila Castello, 34, and Akahi Ricardo, 36, are what many are now referring to as “Breatharians.” They insist that they eat three times per week, with their meals consisting of fruit, or some vegetable broth. Of course, their claims have encouraged the opinions of critics that claim it is impossible.

And if that weren’t enough, many “Breatharians” have actually died due to their beliefs.

Ricardo and Castello have two young children, one 5-year-old son, and one 2-year-old daughter. They too live off the same diet, and Castello maintains that she held true to her diet through her pregnancy. Furthermore, the couple claims that the diet has worked wonders on their livelihood.

Not only has their physical health increase, according to them, but their emotional well-being has as well. The two of them live between California and Ecuador with their two children.

    Castello explained,

“Humans can easily be without food — as long as they are connected to the energy that exists in all things and through breathing.”

“For three years, Akahi and I didn’t eat anything at all and now we only eat occasionally like if we’re in a social situation or if I simply want to taste a fruit.”

“With my first child, I practiced a Breatharian pregnancy. Hunger was a foreign sensation to me so I fully lived on light and ate nothing.

“My blood tests during all three trimesters were impeccable and I gave birth to a healthy, baby boy.

“Since Breatharianism, I feel healthier and happier that I’ve ever done before. When I was younger, my weight fluctuated but now after having two children, my body bounced back to its natural shape immediately.

“I never suffer from PMS symptoms anymore and I feel more emotionally stable.”

While many “breatharians” maintain that living without ample nutrients is possible, I, along with every scientist known to man would tend to disagree. It may seem appealing to “give up the slavery of food” as Castello explained in the interview, however, it is not recommended. Seriously, this is one religion that could end with your life.
